Research Fellowship in Atherosclerosis Imaging

The University of Wisconsin Cardiovascular Medicine Division offers a research fellowship in atherosclerosis imaging.  This fellowship primarily is designed for physicians who have completed their general cardiology training and wish to pursue clinical research training in cardiology or preventive cardiology. It can be modified to fit the needs of current cardiology fellows or physicians who have completed an internal medicine or family medicine residency. The Atherosclerosis Imaging Research Fellowship focuses on ultrasound assessment of endothelial function, carotid atherosclerosis, arterial compliance, and preventive cardiology. It also provides hands-on and classroom training in clinical research techniques. Clinical training involves participation in a multidisciplinary preventive cardiology clinic and/or a general cardiology clinic.

This fellowship is competitive.  It is funded by a National Institutes of Health T32 Award through the University of Wisconsin Cardiovascular Research Center and other sources. Availability of a fellowship position is contingent on funding.  The salary is at the appropriate PGY level.
