Jean received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. She received her Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin.

She was Manager of the UW Hospital Preventive Cardiology program for 26 years. She was responsible for the administrative and operational aspects of the program. Along with medical and clinical staff, she successfully implemented cardiovascular and diabetes prevention programs in the UW Preventive Cardiology Program. She was an adjunct lecturer in the UW Physical Therapy and Kinesiology Departments. She served as President of the Wisconsin Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Association and has served on numerous national professional committees. Jean has given state and national presentations on developing and initiating prevention programs within a clinical setting. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and an American College of Sports Medicine Program Director.

Research Interests

Jean has an interest in type II translational and outcomes research.
